Product concept, design, and manufacture for Tec de Monterrey
Industry: Education, Arts

The opportunity
On its 75th Anniversary, Tec de Monterrey went big. Formerly, each year each campus celebrated its own Art and Culture Festival around four main disciplines: Music, Dance, Monologues, and Literature. This year a National Art and Culture Festival was held and a special award was required to recognize the best national talent.

The project
For this project, we created outstanding and elegant awards based on the festival's identity. The four "alebrijes" were used to represent each discipline and a special pattern was engraved on the vertical base of the award. As well, 2 supports were added to hold the main structure and the information of the recognized person.

My role
PM, creative director, together with a team of engineers, industrial designers, and the client.

Key contributions
/ Managed the project, defining with the client its scope, objectives, budget, planning, resources, time, execution, launching, and landing.
/ Conceptualized visual direction and product design according to the festival's identity.
/ Supervised and supported product manufacture by CYO's creative staff.
Outcome
Successful product development and manufacture, well-accepted by the organizers and talent, and with an excellent relationship built with the client, becoming his ally for the product manufacture and future products development.
